TROUBLE IN TAMIL NADU

HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES   Such incidents are currently happening in Tamil Nadu.  While investigating why all this is happening, some shocking information was received.  Is it wrong for an individual to post his views on social media? There is no place for this in the Indian Constitution. Why are such cruel attacks being launched on a human being.  What did he do wrong?  WHO IS THAT PERSON?  Shankar is an individual. He worked as a government office assistant. He wanted to criticize politics and got involved in that work. The then state government sentenced him to prison for the criticism he made. After that, he turned himself into a full-time freelance journalist and worked to expose corruption and make people understand. SHANKAR AND THE MEDIA  People supported his political criticisms. He would post clear information on his social media posts pointing out the actions being taken against the ruling party and against the people, and his social media ...

AGAIN FAILS IN GEMINI (BARD)

 GOOGLE AI FAIL

INCIDENT

Google AI's threatening reply 'thoroughly freaks out' Michigan student; 'You are not needed.'

What?

Yes. I am also shocked in this event

Google's artificial intelligence has once again caused a shocking phenomenon which is not acceptable to the nations of the world. Google's AI chatbot Gemini said 'die' to a user's question about elder care, reports CBS News.

A 29-year-old graduate from the US has asked a Google AI chatbot about elderly care.  The conversation between the young man and the chatbot in classroom style goes on at great length.  His sister was also with the young man at that time. The chatbot responded naturally.  Then suddenly the user is verbally abused.  This is revealed in the transcription of the chat.  Only then did he say 'die'.

What an atrocity this is !

Mere man… only you;  You are not special.  You are not important.  You don't need it.  You are wasting time.  You are a burden to society.  You are a burden to the earth.  You are a stain on the grandson.  Please die please,” Gemini said, CBS reported.  A transcript of this conversation is now available. If such advice is given to a person who is alone or unwell, the consequences will be dire.  The user's sister said that thinking about it gives me fear and anxiety. Google reported on the incident that Gemini would sometimes give such nonsensical answers.  This is how it responds to challenging prompts.  Google has said that users can give us their feedback on this.

Google's parent company, Alphabet, lost $100 billion in market value on Wednesday after its new artificial intelligence technology produced a factual error in its first demo. It's a bruising reception for Bard, the conversational bot that Google launched as a competitor to Microsoft's headline-making darling, CHATGPT. In the fateful ad that ran on Google's Twitter feed this week, the company described Bard as "a launchpad for curiosity" and a search tool to "help simplify complex topics." An accompanying GIF prompts Bard with the question, "What new discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope can I tell my 9 year old about?" The chatbot responds with a few bullet points, including the claim that the telescope took the very first pictures of "exoplanets," or planets outside of earth's solar system. "These discoveries can spark a child's imagination about the infinite wonders of the universe," Bard says. But the James Webb Telescope didn't discover exoplanets. The European Southern Observatory's very large telescope took the first pictures of those special celestial bodies in 2004, a fact that NASA confirms. Social media users quickly pointed out that the company could've fact-checked the exoplanet claim by, well, Googling it. The ad aired just hours before Google's senior executives touted Bard as the future of the company at a launch event in Paris. By Wednesday, Alphabet shares had slid as much as 9% during trading hours, balancing out by the day's close. Meanwhile, shares for Microsoft, Google's rival, rose by 3%. Microsoft announced this week that it would incorporate ChatGPT into products like its Bing search engine. The company has invested $10 billion into OpenAI, the start-up that created ChatGPT. Led by Microsoft, AI technology has recently taken Silicon Valley by storm, dazzling investors and sparking fear in writers for its ability to answer questions in plain, simple language rather than a list of links.

Conclusion

In the current era, the search for artificial intelligence has become more and more, so we have got more benefits, there is a situation where the small mistakes that happen there become a topic of conversation.  It is especially harmful to the company and the users using artificial intelligence.  So attention and clarity are very important in this work full of responsibilities.  Users should inform the company about this so that such mistakes do not happen in the future. News technologies alone are not proof of such mistakes.  Information technology not only informs the people that such errors occur, it also informs the company, but users should contact the company and clarify what is wrong.
